Felony Charge Dismissed. Client pleads to a Misdemeanor on August 21, 2024

Our client, Jimmy, was accused of a felony offense. Through successful negotiation with the prosecutor, an esteemed colleague who had the graciousness to reduce the client’s

offense to a misdemeanor from a felony, we were able to resolve the case on August 21, 2024. For many clients, they made a mistake and have learned significant lessons from that

decision. Here, the felony was dismissed resulting in a misdemeanor conviction. The misdemeanor conviction serves many multiple benefits including NOT BEING ON FELONY PROBATION. For those individuals who are on felony probation, they are prohibited from traveling outside of the State without permission. Moreover, a PROBATION OFFICER has the power to come inside your place of residence or work, unannounced. This often leads to embarrassment to friends and family. By reducing his case to a misdemeanor, Jimmy was placed on only 12 months of summary probation and ordered to compete 60 hours of community service at any non-profit organization. Jimmy learned a significant lesson from this incident, however, the repercussions from a misdemeanor offense will have draft positive benefits than being a convicted felon.
