Former client who pled to a felony, gets his charge reduced to a misdemeanor and his case is then expunged
Our Client, Minh, were in court on September 26, 2024 to address a motion to reduce his felony charge to a misdemeanor. The court
granted out motion. We then submitted a Petition and Order to expunge his misdemeanor conviction and the court granted that request as well.

At Kia Law Firm, we not only help our clients go through difficult times, but we focus on the aftermath of their plea as well in case they decide to take a deal. In Minh’s situation, we were able to reduce his probationary period to 18 months instead of 36 months. We also filed an appropriate motion to reduce his offense to a misdemeanor and expunged it after 18 months. Since he is no longer on felony probation, he does not have a probation officer to check in with. He is free to live his life as normal as possible.
