FELONY STRIKE CHARGES DISMISSED, CLIENT PLEADS TO MISDEMEANORS

FACTS: Client was accused of two felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon for an incident that occurred on February 2019. We defended these allegations since then to show that the matter was a self-defense claim. On May 5, 2021, we were finally able to demonstrate to the prosecution that the self-defense laws protected our client. As a result, the prosecutor agreed to dismiss the two felony strike charges of PC 245(a)(1) against the client. Client will not have to be placed on any form of felony probation and the matter was resolved favorably.

FELONY CHARGES DISMISSED FEBRUARY 2021, CASE RESOLVES FOR A MISDEMEANOR

FACTS: Our client Jose was arrested and charged with Felony Domestic Violence in violation of Penal Code 273.5, as well as PC 12022.7(a), Causing Great Bodily Injury. Not only were these charges serious, however, the last charge was an enhancement which was a strike. Through successful negotiation, we were able to resolve the matter for a violation of Penal Code 243(e)(1), a Misdemeanor. The result of this resolution means the client will not have immigration issues or be a convicted felon which has long-lasting drastic consequences for many people.

ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES DISMISSED IN NOV 2020

FACTS: This is an interesting fact pattern. Our client was accused of multiple counts of attempted murder, however, our client’s constitutional rights were violated during the case. This resulted in our filing a MOTION TO DISMISS THE ENTIRE CASE. After months and months of litigation, despite the prosecutor’s objection, the COURT dismissed both ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES AGAINST Robert.
